Terribly sorry about the background noise and sound quality- I recorded the interview and the panel into the same track, and had to perform sound editing-fu to get the voice volume levels about the same, and at some point during the process (somewhere around “compression”), it took the sound of my 10 month old watching sesame street on the other side of the house and made it almost as loud as us. If you can bear with that, it’s worth it.
On this episode, Darkbrew and I talk about patch 3.2, and I interview Zeherah from www.femaledwarf.com (guide post to that site).

Thanks! Sound quality wasn’t too terribad?
Pretty good. I wont bash you too hard since this is your first one (jk, I’m not the basing type wither way :P) but I do have a few things to say.
The sound quality overall was pretty good, hardly any pops or cracks and it sounded like you kept a pretty clean desk (no bumps or crinkles, etc. that some casts have). The only thing however, is the 10 month old. Which, of coarse, is not a bad thing overall( late grats btw) and I personally know how you it is since I am currently living with my brother and his 9 month son which makes for some noisy vent conversations in raid followed by me being muted. There is really nothing you can do to stop that, or nothing you should try to do to stop it wither. It is a beautiful thing and you should be proud of it; However, either way you look at it, it does distract attention away from the topic at hand. So my solution: have a music bed in the background. Know I know there’s a lot of controversy over music beds, but I think it would work wonders for you, as long as you don’t have it to loud or have it being distracting on it’s own account. Find some relaxing, wow-related music that seems to flow with the topic/interview so if the 10 month makes some noise, your listeners will quickly be able to get back on track with the flow of the music without having to rewind. I suggest the Grizzly Hills music…but then again it’s my favorite Wrath music, lol.
The interview was great, but to be honest, it felt like it kinda got dragged out a bit…and felt much more long then it should have been. Know don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with long podcasts, but when your starting out it’s like serving a Fish Feast to a three man group about to take down Chillmaw, it’s just a bit too much. Get a wipe audience, then start to push the time bit by bit. Either that or put something much more entertaining to break up the interview a bit with something that will draw attention back, something like crazy music or a drop in or something.
I also hope to see you and Darkbrew (if he’s your actual “co-host”) talk about some more stuff together. The first half was my favorite of the cast and seemed much more involved and fun; but seemed to go by way to fast, but maybe next time when you have some more stuff to go over and questions and such, it’ll be better and longer.
Overall, pretty good. Nice on laying things out and explaining them, and good representation of hunters. Look forward to more and I hope my creative criticism helps. Oh, and please don’t take anything I said offensive, just trying to help you out the best way I can. Good luck and great job Rip!
Wow…just reread my comment…sorry for butchering the English language, kinda tired today…and for some reason I always have trouble with “either” and it almost always comes out “wither.” Greatly sorry for that and I hope it was all understandable enough.
Thanks for the advice :) My next one will be closer to half an hour. This one’s runtime got out of hand because I hadn’t expected my guest and co-host to have quite that much to say. As for the baby, it was inaudible in my original recording, but so was my side of the conversation and the act of fixing that (compression) forced all the quiet sounds into audible range. That was actually two rooms, a door, and a directional mic away. The next one will not have that trouble as I’m planning on buying a license for the skype recording software I used (powergramo) that will allow me to record all voices on their own track, which will allow me to filter out background noises better.
Sounds good, can’t wait! But still look at a music bed…I love them! lol!
They did seem to fix XT, much less bots.
But Thorim is also bugged, I go into the tunnel and we’ve actually had to post a tank at the tunnel entrance, because otherwise we get adds running down from the arena and attacking us. That, and someone in the tunnel was hit by the Storm Hammer that is supposed to only strike people in the arena.
And as a note, my guild has -never- used the trick for XT that stops the adds from spawning. And we honestly have not had a problem with him since we first got him down.
