I have decided to stop playing, writing, and podcasting about wow. It was a hard decision to make, but it’s the right one. I’ve found myself failing to find time to do the stuff I actually want to do, and stretching to find the time to do the stuff I have to do. That said, it’s been this way for a long time and I’ve found a way to make do, but my family and job are taking a much larger share of my time than when I started playing, and it’s growing.
I’ve met a lot of amazing people playing, talking about, and writing about this game. I’ve grown up along with it, and learned so much. It’s been a cornerstone of my life for so long that I’m still not sure how to feel now that it’s gone. Luckily, I have a kick-ass friendship bracelet I won in a bet to help me figure that out.
I’d like to take a moment to say thanks. The wow community, the hunter and gold-making communities in particular, are made up of some of the finest people I could ever know. It’s been a pleasure talking to you folks about this habit of ours.
I’ll be on today’s podcast, and I’m sensing that Darkbrew, Ali, and Arth might continue doing the show, at least for a little while.
ps. This being my last post, I won’t get offended if you point out that for someone who spent the better part of 4 years making fun of Frostheim’s hairy wrists, I have some pretty hairy wrists. The irony isn’t lost on me.
