What happens when you try this? I haven’t been into that fight yet, but it makes sense to me- bomb gets low to ground, enters pet melee range, pet sends it back flying. Keep mend pet and cower up when needed.
I actually had some success with this. It also had the amusing side affect of our PUG 25M yelling at me a lot for what they thought were neglected bombs.
The trick for me was leaving my pet on passive. So once the bomb disappeared, he’d come back to me, letting me know I could send him to a new target. If you leave him on defensive, he’ll latch onto a boss after a bomb disappears, making management harder.
I tried this last night on 10 man. I was tanking Keleseth in stamina gear as we had no warlock, I put my pet on the first kenitic bomb that spawned and it worked perfectly, although as the fight goes on more and more spawn (I think we had 3 up at one point) so we had our boomkin help out keeping the others up. Once the first kinetic bomb despawned I put my pet on one of the ones our boomkin was keeping up to make his life easier.
I have heard that the warlock pet can bounce them up high enough to aggro the queen, which would be a bit of an issue, but no confirmation on that.
Dog balancing a ball on his snout works fine, although is a bit scary looking at first. It’s very close to the ground.
It’s not so fun when all three of them are completely spread out around the room and you can barely make it from one to the other to keep them all up! And then you can’t find the new one when it spawns and its about to hit and you can’t make it in time and it’s all your fault… I don’t like this fight at all :)
I love it because of the difficulty. I’m always sad when a doable-but-hard fight gets nerfed, and I fear that may happen to the Blood Queen. Because she’s definitely the most taxing fight my guild has faced in ICC (though we are only a 10M raid team, and I know things change in 25M)
Tried this last night in 10 man with me and our warlock tank sending our pets after the orbs and worked out well, completely trivialized that part of the encounter. I just manually targeted the orbs and used this macro
